What is Pentasa?

Pentasa (Mesalamine) is a medication used to treat ulcerative colitis and Crohn disease and to prevent the symptoms from these conditions such as diarrhea, rectal bleeding and stomach pain from returning. Mesalamine works by decreasing swelling within your colon.
