What is Multaq?

Multaq (dronedarone) is a heart rhythm medication which helps to maintain a normal heartbeat in people who have previously had certain types of irregular heartbeat (such as paroxysmal or atrial fibrillation) but who now have a normal heart rhythm. Contact your doctor if you experience any of the following dronedarone side effects:

• Shortness of breath, breathing problems while lying down, wheezing or any other breathing problems.
• Swelling or rapid weight gain.
• Chest pain, dizziness or fainting.
• Feeling like you may pass out.
• Dry cough or coughing up mucus.
• Irregular, fast, pounding or slow heartbeat.
• Signs of kidney problems such as little or no urination, swelling in the ankles or feet, tiredness or shortness of breath.
• Signs of liver problems such as nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tiredness, loss of appetite, clay colored stools, dark urine or jaundice.
