Why is CombiPatch prescribed?

CombiPatch (Estradiol/Norethindrone Acetate) is a skin patch used to treat menopause symptoms such as hot flashes caused by the body making less estrogen. It is a combination medicine made up of Estradiol (a form of estrogen) and Norethindrone (a form of progesterone). The progesterone helps to combat the risk of uterus cancer which can be caused by the use of estrogen. Combipatch may also be used before menopause to treat a lack of estrogen caused by various conditions including surgical removal of ovaries.
