What is Prevacid?

Prevacid and the generic alternative lansoprazole is a medication used to treat and to prevent stomach and intestinal ulcers, erosive esophagitis and other conditions stemming from excessive stomach acid. Lansoprazole works by decreasing the amount of acid which is produced in the stomach.
