What is Restasis?

Restasis eye drops contain cyclosporine and is used to treat chronic dry eye that may be caused by inflammation. Cyclosporine is in a class of medications called immunomodulators and works by decreasing the swelling in the eye which can increase tear production.

• Keep your eyes closed for between two and three minutes with your head tipped down. Do not blink or squint. Gently press your finger to the corner of your eye for about a minute to prevent the solution from draining into your tear duct.
• Wait at least fifteen minutes before using any other eye drops.

• Your medical history, especially of any eye problems or infections.

Also be aware that:
