Description

What is Myrbetriq?

Myrbetriq is the brand name for the medication mirabegron and is a overactive bladder medication used to treat the symptoms of an overactive bladder. Overactive bladder is a problem with how your bladder stores urine and can result in incontinence, frequent or urgent urination. This medication works by relaxing your detrusor muscle in the bladder, helping your bladder to hold more urine. Myrbetriq may also be prescribed to be taken alongside other overactive bladder medications.

Always read the patient information and instructions carefully before using this medication.

  • Take Myrbetriq orally either with or without food. Myrbetriq should be swallowed whole and should not be crushed, chewed or divided as this can increase the risk of side effects.
  • Your Myrbetriq dosage is based on your medical condition and your response to treatment. Do not change or increase your dosage unless your doctor tells you to.
  • Myrbetriq is most effective when taken regularly. Try to take it at the same time every day.
